Watsonville, Calif., April 6, 2021– Spring is upon us and what better way to usher in the new season than by making a flavorful and zingy Ginger Apple Mocktail. A blend of Martinelli’s apple juice, fresh ginger, angostura bitters, ginger beer and lemon slices creates a delightful libation perfect for porch-side sipping. If a traditional cocktail is more your style, add a splash of vodka and you’ve got a Ginger Apple Moscow Mule. Serve in a traditional copper mug to help keep your drink cold and garnish with additional lemon and apple slices.
Ginger Apple Mocktail
1-inch fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
2 shakes angostura bitters
2 lemon slices
3 oz. Martinelli’s apple juice
5 oz. ginger beer
Lemon and apple slices for garnish
- In the bottom of an empty cocktail shaker, muddle together ginger, bitters and lemon slices.
- Fill the shaker with ice and pour over Martinelli’s apple juice. Shake well.
- Strain into a double old-fashioned glass or a copper mug filled with ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with lemon and apple slices before serving.
